THANKS TO THE CROWNS YOU WILL FIND THE SMILE YOU’VE ALWAYS DREAMT ABOUT!
A crown is a ceramic capsule that covers the real tooth and protects it from new aggressions. Thanks to the crowns your teeth will be well fortified, will remain protected and you will find a smile!
Thanks to the crowns your teeth will be perfectly restored, strengthened and you will find the smile you’ve always dreamt about!
A crown is used for a tooth which was broken, fractured, worn out, seriously damaged by a caries or became fragile as a result of root canal treatment (devitalisation). The crowns are used also to improve the appearance if the teeth are not straight enough or it is necessary to change the colour.
Ceramics that is used to produce crowns in our laboratory is of the best quality, brand Vita (Germany).
Care stages (laying of crowns):
– first date : preparing teeth, taking impressions, placing temporary crowns
– Next appointment : fitting of crowns
– last appointment : cementing (laying) of crowns
Types of crowns
Crown ceramic / metal - the ceramic crown which has the metal base (chrome-cobalt). No nickel, the chromium-cobalt alloy is the most biocompatible. Thanks to the metal frame these crowns are strong and durable. On the outside the crowns are aesthetic, they are covered with white ceramic so that the metal cannot be seen.
Crown ceramic / zirconia - the ceramic crown with the zirconia base (oxide, precious material).
These crowns have a number of important advantages:
- crowns are completely biocompatible and allergy
- the crowns are lighter and translucent
- these crowns are rather recommended for front teeth because they are the most aesthetic and natural
The ceramic/zircon crowns that we are using in our dental clinic in Turkey are produced with a very modern high-tech CAD/CAM system (computer aided design).
The crowns are made with a help of special computer and equipment and it allows us to produce crowns of very high precision.
Bridge crowns - these are two or more crowns connected together (bridges are used to replace the missing roots). To find the tooth that has been pulled out, we use at least one tooth on either side of the missing tooth as the support to support the bridge.
If you have missing teeth, crowns can become a part of a dental bridge to fill the gap. To realize it we need to use the neighbour teeth as a support.
